Deep beneath the Colosseum, a faint glow pulses in the ancient crypts. The arena falls silent as an artifact is pulled from the shadows: the Forge Key, gleaming with arcane power. Lightning Forge Games is thrilled to announce that this mythical relic is no mere legend — it’s real, it’s on multiple blockchains, and soon (this month!!!) it can be yours.

This epic drop comes hot on the heels of our Forge Essence free mint, which gave early supporters their first taste of the LFG Ecosystem’s magic. If you missed the freemint, it’s not too late, you can head over to OpenSea and grab yours before the snapshot!

Now, we’re turning up the heat. The FORGE KEY marks our first paid mint, and it’s absolutely packed with utility to supercharge your journey through every LFG game to come.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that FORGE KEYs are just too awesome to stick to a single chain… so we’re partnering with BOTH Avalanche and BEAM for this historic event!

That’s right, from the start of the FORGE KEY mint, the collection will be available across both chains, and tradeable on Magic Eden for Avalanche, and Sphere for BEAM. We knew from the very start of our on chain journey how important it is to give the community true ownership, and choice in where you choose to keep your on chain collectables, and we couldn’t be happier to be partnering with two of the most well known, and well respected chains in gaming!

But now… what are these FORGE KEYs all about?

Owning a FORGE KEY isn’t just a status symbol, it’s changing the game. We’ve loaded them up with an arsenal of benefits that will serve you across the entire LFG Ecosystem. Here are the key advantages (pun intended :D) that come with holding a Forge Key (or several!):

First, and most important, FORGE KEYs will grant the holder a FREE Hero from each of the 12 factions planned for the LFG Ecosystem! In addition, those heroes will be at least Rare Rarity, all the way upto the mythical 1/1!
For each set of 5 FORGE KEYs held at the time of a faction release, we will guarantee that holder will receive each of the 5 classes in that faction, for a PERFECT collection!

Own **5 FORGE KEY**s? Then the Barbarian Warrior, Mage, Defender, Ranger and Enhancer are all yours!

FORGE KEY holders will also receive guaranteed EARLY ACCESS to all games in the LFG Ecosystem, including Gladiator Mayhem (GM), You Only Live Once (YOLO) and Grand Tactics: Final Order (GTFO)! Hit the ground early and get a head start on the competition!

Next, FORGE KEYs hold an incredible power in the world of LFG REWARDS, our new, innovative rewards program, which rewards players for playing, and winning, in every game in the LFG Ecosystem! Unlike other rewards programs, LFG REWARDS is broken up into stages, and is designed as an ongoing, sustainable rewards model, meaning your FORGE KEYs will keep generating value for the lifetime of EVERY GAME IN THE LFG ECOSYSTEM! LFG!!!

Finally, last but absolutely not least, is our commitment to FORGE KEY holders even outside of the LFG Ecosystem. LFG Agents will be available for other studios, and games to use to empower their own experiences (trust me, this was just too damn cool to keep to ourselves). As part of that, it will be a condition of licencing LFG Agents that any studio or ecosystem which does so, MUST provide rewards in some way to FORGE KEY holders.

Let me say that again, and be incredibly clear on this one. Any studio, regardless of web2/3/4/5/6, that wants to licence LFG Agents to use in their own game, MUST provide some form of value to every single FORGE KEY holder. Or we won’t do business with them. It’s that simple.
The first confirmed title to licence LFG Agents, Drift Derby by Mixed Pixel Games, is due for release in late 2025!

That’s a lot, but we can also add that there are other rewards planned for down the road, especially with the release of future titles such as YOLO and GTFO :) But we’ll save them for a future medium ;)

Glad you asked! We’re working closely with Magic Eden to support the mint on Avalanche, and Sphere to support the mint on BEAM. But lets get to the juicy deets:

FORGE KEY EDITION DETAILS

FORGE KEYs will be a 5,000 Edition collection, broken down evenly with 2,500 on Avalanche and 2,500 on BEAM. Between the two chains, FORGE KEY utility from Lightning Forge Games will be identical and are treated equally regardless of chain.

500 FORGE KEYs (250 on each chain) will be held in the studio treasury to use for promotional purposes.

The mint will be broken down into Tranches, with earlier tranches receiving a bigger discount, and you know, you get your hands on a FORGE KEY earlier!

Tranche 1 — EXCLUSIVE for FORGE ESSENCE Holders
Mint Date — 30th July.
Price — 1 AVAX (80% Discount).
Supply — 250 FORGE KEYs on Avalanche and 250 FORGE KEYs on BEAM.
Eligibility — A Whitelist snapshot will be taken for the FORGE ESSENCE collection during the month of July. At that time, wallets holding FORGE ESSENCE will receive a WL spot for each FORGE ESSENCE they hold. A WL spot can be used on BOTH Avalanche and BEAM, but only until the supply is exhausted, or until Tranche 2 begins, whichever is sooner.
